Pain au chocolat blanc

There's a little bakery/boulangerie on Square Trousseau in Paris by the name of Ble Sucre. It offers many wonderful delights from pastries to madeleines and home-made ice-cream, but one thing I was eager to test out was the pain au chocolat blanc (white pain au chocolat). Finally, one day, I got there in time before they sold out... Mmmm, tasty!

Paris Opera Ballet

The Paris Opera Ballet is steeped in history and is considered to be one of the finest ballet companies in the world. Performances range from the classics through to more contemporary pieces. If you want to catch a ballet while in Paris, it will most likely be held at Palais Garnier or Bastille. Check the website for last minute tickets.

Angelina tearoom

Angelina is a Parisian institution of gourmet delights, Belle Epoque architecture and fashionable clientele. Since opening in 1903, its charm and elegance has been enjoyed by artists like Proust and Coco Chanel. There are a few locations sprinkled around the French capital but the most well-known is the tearoom on Rue De Rivoli. Make sure you have plenty of time on your side as the line out the front can be long, but it's well worth the wait to sit inside the magnificent tearoom while sampling their famous hot chocolate and gourmet cakes and pastries...
