A million shades of green...

Ever since I arrived in Marnay, I've been mesmerised by the many shades of the colour green (or vert as they say in French) particularly around the Seine.

The river itself is a spectacular jade colour and alternates ever so slightly when the sun bounces off it.

The first picture below is my view from the study (with the balcony rail in the way). On the opposite side of the river is a tangle of trees, adding to the myriad of green hues.
